The Termite Inspection 210.878.5948

Termite infestations can be a huge problem for homeowners. They can be living in your walls and around your house, undetected, for years. For this reason, a Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) Inspection and Report are required when obtaining certain loans, or just for your peace of mind.
During your Home Inspection, it will be reported if Termites or their damage is seen. An added benefit of Reality Check Inspections is that Chuck is able to provide the 'Texas Official WDI Report', or 'Termite Report,' at the same time as the Home Inspection.

What do you look for?
Chuck will inspect all accessible locations looking for signs Termite damage and infestation, both past and present. Including wood damage, mud tubes, termite exit holes, droppings and discarded wings.
He will also note the areas that are conducive to Termite activity. Examples of this are: Moisture Issues and Wood-to-Ground Contact.

What areas are inspected?
Common entry points and hot spots for activity are the focus of the Termite Inspection; based on each species of Termites' unique behavior.
For example, when looking for Subterranean Termite activity, Chuck will inspect the inside and outside perimeter of the home. He will target the lowest level of the house; the foundation, accessible crawlspaces, as well as attics and eaves.
Exposed wood like hardwood floors and wooden furniture are ideal places for Drywood Termite activity.
If Termite or Carpenter Ants are present, it will be outlined and explained in your 'Texas Official WDI (Termite) Report'.
