Home & Termite Inspections
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I call you to inspect my house for termite activity?
Yes. I am a licensed Termite Inspector (WDI) too.
Can I perform my own Home Inspection?
Yes.
Should I perform my own Home Inspection?
No.
Very few people have the technical training and background to perform a through Home Inspection. Additionally, by the time a home is chosen, and an offer is made, most buyers will have at least a slight emotional attachment to the house, and may not be as objective as they should be to the true condition of the property.
As with any important decision, it is always best to get an objective Professional's opinion, someone that is experienced, and is unbiased for an evaluation of the true condition of the home you are buying.
Why is it a bad idea for my Uncle the plumber or my neighbor the electrician to perform my Home Inspection?
While your Uncle and neighbor are undoubtedly experts in their fields, they probably don't have the technical expertise to fully test and evaluate the condition of the other systems found in your house. Many other areas such as the Heating and Air Conditioning system or the structural, foundation and wall systems, and roofing components also need inspecting.

Why do you call your report style "No Drama Reporting" ?
When we say "No Drama" we really mean is "non-scary", or without the hysterics some inspectors bring with them.
My job is to evaluate, document and educate, using plain, non-technical, easy to understand pictures and language to reveal the condition of the house you are considering.
The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) guidelines require me to report "Deficiencies" and other conditions that are found.
Our reports are more complete and balanced than that, not only will I report on the TREC required deficiencies, but on the positive aspects of the property as well.
All of our inspections Exceed TREC standards.
The inspection report will also touch on some of the maintenance issues that should be addressed, both now and for the future.
Our reports are balanced, pointing out the good as well as the bad that is found in any house. Our clients seem to appreciate it.
Check out the Sample Report page.
When will I get my report from you?
You will receive your report within 12 hours, or less.

Your fees seem reasonable. Why do some inspection companies charge so much more?
I don't know....
Some other companies must have higher overhead, big offices with employees. If they are part of a national chain, they may have high franchise fees and probably expensive advertising programs they participate in
